So, that’s 2011 over and done with, and what a year its been! We’ve had a brilliant time meeting some amazing people and shooting some beautiful weddings. Thanks so much to everyone who has supported us and for all the lovely feedback and comments… Its been hectic, emotional, entertaining, moving, busy, rewarding and well just generally pretty awesome!

Finally we have had a chance to get one of our engagement sessions up on the blog! Yey!
Back in August we caught up with the lovely Kate & James down in Rye, East Sussex. What a beautiful setting for a shoot and a place very close to Kate and James’ heart. We couldn’t help but lose ourselves meandering around the cobbled streets and secret passage ways, popping into all the different boutiques. One of which was the Herald and Heart, hat shop ~
We just love Kate’s cute purple and blue flower patterned 50′s inspired dress ~
After a lot of walking we decided to rest our weary legs and grab a coffee and cake in Cafe des Fleurs ~
We are so excited and can not wait to shoot Kate and James’ wedding, which is taking place at the stunning Preston Court in Kent next year.

So, it’s been a good few months since we last found time to do a blog post – whoops we’ve let the blogging slip! But that’s okay, because this year has been amazing, we’ve photographed 27 awesome weddings and have 2 more left to go in December … so expect a lot more blogging over the forthcoming months before the next season kicks off!
So, first up are the gorgeous Laura and Dan. Laura and Dan got married earlier this year and initially contacted us to do an engagement session with them in their hometown of Southsea. Their engagement shoot was also featured on inspirational wedding blog Whimsical Wonderland Weddings as well as by the lovely people over at Pocketful of Dreams.
Laura & Dan’s wedding took place in the beautiful and chilled Farbridge Barn in Chichester. Everything in and about the wedding was organised by Laura and Dan themselves, along with a bit of help from their friends and family. There were vintage accessories, heart shaped decorations, home-made cup cakes, vintage books and tea sets, combined with a beautiful barn setting which was located next to a field of haystacks … good times!
Laura’s dress, veil and vintage accessories are from A Bride to Bee in Warsash. The dress is by Maggie Sottero.
Laura & Dan decorated the barn themselves using their very own vintage accessories and tea sets, which are available to hire at their company Laura Jane’s Vintage Tea Set.
They even decorated the ladies and gents with lavender flowers, pretty vases and vintage birdcages for the girls, and retro squash rackets for the boys!

Laura & Dan chose their favourite images from our engagement shoot with them and put together their own book, which was given out as gifts to friends and family.
For the evening Laura and Dan hired our very own Candy Booth for drunken, random good times!

A woo hoo .. here with another wedding! This time it is the gorgeous Caroline who married her handsome fella Luke earlier this year in July.
Caroline got ready with her best mate (who is also handy with the make up) and her bridesmaids at the Hotel Rafayel in London.
Caroline’s dress is by a designer named Gemy and her tiara is from Glitzy Secrets.
The bridesmaid dresses were from French Connection.
Meanwhile Luke and his best man and ushers were having a pint in the nearby pub, The Regent in Balham.
Married at St Luke’s church in Battersea the service was performed by Luke’s dad.
It was then just a short walk through Wandsworth Common to get to the reception venue, Le Gothique.
Caroline & Luke did the reception flowers themselves by going to the Flower Market in Battersea and all the favours were DIY bits and pieces from various places such as Confetti and Etsy.
